Babson College Alpha Kappa Psi Phish Fans — Back When “Phishing” Wasn’t a Bad Thing

Decades before skip lagging was a verb, and long before the internet turned “phishing” into a cybersecurity warning, Babson College Alpha Kappa Psi brothers and Phish fans were building networks the old-fashioned way — through music, entrepreneurship, travel, and word-of-mouth connections that stretched from campus parties to first-class airline cabins & #phish laid down the soundtrack for an enterprising year at #babson college. Gives new meaning to the #phish song Summer of ’89.  Alpha Kappa Psi and the Babson college campus was fully engaged using hidden city tickets & earning 10% a week. “Hey Man, What’s your fee to fly me…..” Alpha Kappa Psi Gamma Nu.

P.S. We’re talking about simpler times when “PHISH” was a grove- named after the bands drummer John Fishman. It has nothing to do with the 21st century connotation that changed the spelling from “fishing” to “phishing” as in “fishing for information”.

As the entrepreneurial minded Alpha Kappa Psi at Babson community contributed to the execution of our business plan, you’d commonly see brothers playing with a hacky sack in front of Park Manor Central listening to “PHISH” the band-nothing to do with fishing for information
