By December 1999 the past didn't matter- it was all about the future. My business suddenly had an $18 million valuation and nobody cared about the petty claims of the past. A year earlier, Peter Pan of Korean Air was trying to collect over $1 million in phony fare differences. Now he was saying, "Wabort, Let Bygones be Bygones!" A few days after closing, I flew to Singapore first class before continuing on to Sydney to ring in the new millennium, ironically where my Involuntary Reroute began.
